A wood pellet kit is a good idea if you want to be able to get an uninterupted nights sleep, I don't have one so I find myself getting up and stokeing the stove every 3 hours during winter hunts. But I love my cylinder stove. I now burn free wood from around my camp where as before I used a kerosene burner and burned nearly $100 worth of kerosen for a 9 day hunt. I bought a woodstove wall shield from a local home improvement store and I can now safely and confidently burn my stove up at higher temperatures than without the shield. I can be comfortable in a t-shirt in my tent when the temp outside is in the single digits. I do cook on it and keep my foods warm on the warming tray. I don't use the water heater. It gets too hot (boiling) and the spigot arangement needs an improvement (rotates too easily and you need gloves). Possibly a separate stand for the water heater would be an improvement? then you could regulate the temp by the space to the stove. All in all I love my cylinder stove.
